Branch 43 March Meeting

On Sunday March 12, 2023 the branch had an in-person meeting welcome to any member in good standing. Being the second meeting of the year, we conducted our executive board elections. It was a fantastic event to see members both old and new. We do however encourage ALL of our members to join in as these meetings are phenomenal for networking and having a better idea of what is going on within the company and what to prepare for.

These meetings are important to attend as they can direct us to where the focus needs to be. An example of this was member Miles Walcott stepping up to ask about the status of an ongoing case regarding retirement pay.

Another concern raised by a retired member was about the current pay for supervisors and how the gap between craft and EAS is diminishing. While this concern doesn’t affect the retiree, he was concerned for the newer members such as myself as this could have a compound effect in the long run.

Towards the end of the event we hosted the executive board elections conducted by Michael Dematteo, Karim Maghsoudi, and Richard Picardi. The positions of branch president, branch vice president, Sargent at arms and corresponding secretary went unchallenged and will remain the same. The results and statistics will be recorded below.
